Police issued approximately 20 fixed penalty notices and turned over 100 cars away from Formby beach on Saturday. Patrols were in place along the coastal area following reports of large numbers of people present. Some people were found to have travelled from as far as Leeds, Stockport, and Manchester.
The Rugby League World Cup 2021 is looking for volunteers to join 'The Power Squad'. Made up of two thousand volunteers, they'll play a key role in the delivery of the six-week tournament with a range of roles, including transport, spectator services, accreditation, way-finding, media, content and broadcast support.
Liverpool City Council has launched a month-long consultation on the second phase of its pop-up cycling network. The city is aiming to create a 65 mile cycling network to encourage people onto their bikes and to allow them to cycle safely. Three routes were introduced last summer – the public consultation is inviting comments on a further four.
