Merseyrail will be increasing its services across most lines from Sunday 14 March. This is in response to more staff being available as the number of new COVID-19 cases continue to fall nationally. Trains will run every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday until 7:30PM across the network with the exception of the Ellesmere Port line which will continue to operate a 30-minute service all day.
Liverpool's garden waste collection service is to resume from Monday 22 March. The date is later than usual because of the Covid pandemic which has resulted in a rise in the amount of domestic waste being collected as people are spending more time at home, and staff absence due to sickness and self-isolation.
EU Nationals across Liverpool are being reminded that they need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme. There is no fee to apply and most people are able to complete the application quickly online.
