An arrangement has been reached to source Covid-19 vaccinations from another North West mass vaccination hub following a logistical problem in St Helens on Tuesday. The shortage would have meant 3,000 vulnerable people with underlying health conditions – having their vaccinations postponed. It was due to an NHS England procedure that meant the four personal care networks at the Totally Wicked Stadium were counted as one.
Most parts of our city region are seeing a significant decline in coronavirus infection rates – with three boroughs now below 100 cases per 100,000 people. The Liverpool City Region's average infection rate for the week ending February 27 was 103 cases per 100,000, with 1,611 new cases.
The Walker Art Gallery has announced Kathryn Maple the winner of the John Moores Painting Prize 2020 with her vibrant work, The Common. Selected from almost 3,000 entries, Kathryn's work will also be acquired by the Walker Art Gallery to join its collection.
