VACCINE ROLL OUT: Programme delays cause concern
Exports of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine have been suspended by India as the country decides to prioritise the ‘huge needs’ of its own country.
The move will delay the UK roll-out the vaccination drive. Those under 50 will now have to wait longer for their Covid jab after warnings from the NHS of a four-week supply gap.
Vaccine centres have been advised to halt booking appointments to allow scheduled doses to be prioritised next month.
