Liverpool's coronavirus rate has continued to decline, with the city now having the second lowest infection level in Merseyside. The council's latest Covid-19 update said that in the week up to March 23, Liverpool's infection rate stood at 36.1 cases per 100,000 people.
Liverpool City Council has outlined the next steps following the publication of a report into its Highways, Regeneration and Property Management functions. Over the next three years, an improvement plan will be delivered, as well as a programme of cultural change across the organisation. A move to four yearly all-out elections and a potential reduction of councillor number and wards will also be implemented from 2023.
Liverpool Council have said they will continue to "tweak" the River of Light route after pictures showed large numbers of people around some of the installations. The exhibition started last week, with a trail of light installations throughout the city.
