The Secretary of State for housing, communities and local government, has met with senior council officers in Liverpool less than a week after ordering commissioners to be sent to the city. Robert Jenrick, posted pictures to Twitter showing a meeting where he was present along with council chief executive Tony Reeves, finance chief Mel and a number of others.
People living and working in Sefton can now collect home coronavitus testing kits. The testing packs are for households with school and nursery pupils, members of support bubbles, people working in childcare and other caring occupations.Each pack contains seven lateral flow tests that provide results in under an hour.
Plans for a boutique hotel directly opposite the site of Everton's new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock are set to be approved by Liverpool Council. Everton's proposals for a new stadium there cleared a final hurdle at the end of last week after the government confirmed they would not call the plans in for further consideration.
