As shielding ends, the region's residents are being asked to remain vigilant to keep each other safe. People in the Clinically Extremely Vulnerable group are being advised to continue to take extra precautions to keep themselves safe - even if they have received both doses of the vaccine.
Household Waste Recycling Centres in the Liverpool City Region are now open for an extra three hours every day. Most will be open from 8am until 8pm, seven days a week. The 14 Recycling Centres situated throughout the region accept a range of household materials for recycling, from batteries, cans and cardboard, through to garden clippings, glass bottles, wood, and white goods.
Liverpool City Council's new 'Reading Friends' scheme will encourage people to connect – virtually – in group sessions using books, magazines, newspapers and poems. The new scheme is being launched which aims to bring people together, whilst improving mental health through shared reading and friendly chats.
