The Strand will be closed to southbound traffic entirely from 7pm to 6am for the next four weeks, with traffic diverted via Leeds Street. It is the latest stage of major works on the road, which runs directly along Liverpool's waterfront and is a key north-south route through the city centre.
Production at Jaguar Land Rover's factory in Halewood has been temporarily suspended due to a shortage of parts. The shutdown is due to a supply scarcity of computer chips, also known as semiconductors, amid a global shortage.
The Good Business Festival launches this week. It's the first in-person, live business event without Covid measures happening in the UK since the first national lockdown in March 2020. The pioneering new global gathering in the Liverpool City Region, will host 'Change Business for Good', a launch event on Wednesday 28 April at ACC Liverpool.
