JUNK FOOD: Should there be a watershed on fast food adverts?

Should there be a watershed on fast food TV advertisements?

Junk food will be banned on TV before the 9pm watershed, under Government plans to crack down on obesity.

Companies will also face tougher rules when advertising food online if they have too much salt of sugar in them.

It comes as new research shows almost 7 per cent of Brits eat no fruit or veg at all and just under 12 per cent drink too many sugary drinks.

Is the Government right to ban sugary and salty food products from TV advertising? Is the crackdown a good idea? Does it go far enough to tackle the UK’s obesity crisis? Or do you think people should be allowed to eat what they want?
