NATIONAL NEWS ROUNDUP: 1 in 5 won’t take covid test following symptoms & gov race review “gaslighting” minorities
A study by the British Medical Journal found that only half of public could identify the main coronavirus symptoms, whilst fewer than one in five people requested a test with adherence to self isolation low.
The findings are based on nearly seventy five thousand responses, with men, younger people and those with young children the least likely to self-isolate.
The government's independent race review has been condemned as "gaslighting" ethnic minorities. The two hundred and fifty eight page report made twenty four recommendations including dropping the term BAME, requiring police body cams to be on during stop-and-search and tackling racist abuse on social media.
Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford has expressed confidence in Wales' covid roadmap, after the announcement cross-border travel into and out of Wales would be permitted from 12th April.
