No traces of coronavirus were found in tests at four major railway stations and on intercity train services, including at Liverpool Lime Street Network Rail said. Places passengers regularly touch such as escalator handles, ticket machines and benches were swabbed, while hour-long air samples were taken.
A man who was stopped by officers while riding an e-Scooter in Warrington has been charged with drug driving. The 33-year-old man was also charged with driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
Green waste collections are set to resume in Liverpool after a suspension due to Covid-related staffing shortages. The council announced earlier in July that green waste collections would face a two week suspension across the city due to a large number of Liverpool Streetscene workers isolating after coming into close contacts with Covid cases.
