THE BUBBLES: Caravans have turned up in New Brighton
Caravans which appear to belong to travellers have turned up in New Brighton.
Photos show the mobile homes at the Bubbles World of Play on Kings Parade in the Wirral, with washing lines also having been put up at the site.
Last August, travellers set up on the same site and were praised for leaving it “spotless”.
Posting on the Facebook group Wallasey Gossip, some had noticed their arrival.
One person said: “Who’s going to say hi to their new neighbours at Bubbles play centre first? They’re back.”
Another said they saw the group setting up camp yesterday.
Some members of the community group wondered if The Bubbles could have stopped caravans getting onto the car park this time around.
One such person said: “Didn’t they at one point have big boulders in place to prevent vehicles getting through?”
When travellers set up camp last year, they were praised for leaving the site “spotless” as they moved on.
Caravans were parked at The Bubbles on Wednesday, August 19, with one resident claiming the area was in a “right state”.
But when the group moved on later the same day, many were quick to praise the condition the car park was left in.
Posting in a community Facebook group, one resident said: “I’ve just watched them all leaving and they left the car park spotless, shame people cannot do that to the beach.”
Wirral Council would not comment on the situation as the caravans have parked on private land.
Bubbles World of Play was approached for comment, but did not respond by the time of publication.
