Let's celebrate Liverpool!

Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse theatres has announced four of the actors who will perform in the stage version of Love, Liverpool from 31 July to 14 August.

In roles inspired by original writing from Amina Atiq, Luke Barnes, Roy, Aron Julius, Mandy Redvers-Rowe, Inclueless Theatre and the people of Liverpool, separate lives intertwine to celebrate and interrogate the rich tapestry of everyday life in Liverpool.

Performing a role inspired by his own work, Aron Julius is cast alongside fellow A Christmas Carol company member Helen Carter, and Our Lady of Blundellsands actor Nathan McMullen. Chloë Clarke, a visually impaired actor, will also perform in the stage production created from the award-winning, collaborative project Love, Liverpool: An A-Z of Hope.

Love, Liverpool threads together the stories and shared spaces in Liverpool. Local writer Chloë Moss brings to life the original letters, commissioned in lockdown. Directing the cast, Everyman & Playhouse theatres’ artistic advisor Nathan Powell aims to capture the energy and magic of a remarkable city.

Nathan Powell, said: “We’re so excited to be welcoming this cast to the Love, Liverpool team. They are ideal collaborators who will bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and fun to our audiences. Love, Liverpool is a show that celebrates and interrogates the city we love, and we can’t wait to share with you what we create.”

With one final cast member still to be announced, there is an opportunity for a local actor to take part. The production team are looking for a female of Middle Eastern or Arab heritage playing an age from 18 to early 30s.
